My photography,

A non-commercial photographer. My name is Dave, I am 35 years old and a Vietnamese American. Currently I am photographing around the Minneapolis - Saint Paul area and it's suburb.

I photograph everything. Portraits, couples, cars, skyscrapers, landscape, animals, macro and etc. Aside from weddings, you can name it, I probably do it all. I do not do weddings because of my anxiety, even if it is a photo booth.

I want to grow out of the "hobbyist" state and eventually shoot commercially and professionally, for now I will remain non-commercial. The only thing holding me back from going professional is because I am highly introverted, I am definitely not a people person and would have severe anxiety photographing people I do not know well.

I've been on and off in doing photography since I bought my first "professional" camera in 2009. Since the summer of 2023, I have realized photography is what I truly want to do in life and will no longer take "breaks" because it hinders my growth and decrease my accumulated skill set.

Let's get personal,

My top movies includes American History X, The Godfather trilogy, Star Wars trilogy, Shawshank Redemption, Saving Private Ryan, Shutter Island, Gangs of New York, The Departed, Gattaca and Forrest Gump.

If I were to choose a favorite among them, it'd be Gattaca. It's the future and there are no longer discrimination of race and religion, rather there is discrimination against genetics. The people with least favorable genetics get jobs that are least favorable. I highly recommend this movie.

My type of music artists are John Denver, Neil Young, Journey, Eagles, Beyonce, Bon Jovi, Hillsong UNITED and Rihanna.

Hillsong UNITED is my top band on list because I enjoy Christian music and I listen to them quite frequently. However It's My Life by Bon Jovi remains my favorite song of all time.

Lastly but not least, SKOL. Vikings lead the way.
